Aikido in Jukara
Hello! We are an active aikido dojo in Vantaa, Finland, near Helsinki airport. We offer aikido classes on 6 days every week. We have classes for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Dojo Location
Our dojo is located in Rajatorppa, Vantaa, only 10 km from both Helsinki city center and Helsinki airport.

By public transport: The closest train station is Myyrmäki; the dojo is ~10 min walk from there. Also several bus lines pass near the dojo. See HSL time table for more information.
By car: These is some parking space in front of the dojo. If full, parking is also possible at the nearby Energia Areena sports complex.
The dojo is located underground in a cold war era nuclear bomb shelter. Front door is kept locked; please arrive in time so that someone can let you in, or contact us beforehand to get a PIN code that opens the door.
Beginners
People new to aikido can start at any time in our beginner’s classes on Wed and Sat. These classes are suitable for both adults and children (over 7 years)
Visitors
Visitors practicing on other aikido dojos are welcome to all of our classes. See our weekly schedule below. We do not charge a visitor fee.

Beginners classes are for people new to aikido and children.
Basic aikido classes are suitable for all practitioners with basic ukemi skills from 6. kyu onwards. Focus is in kata (form) of the techniques.
Advanced classes focus more on "aikido internals" and typically have faster pace than other classes. No grade requirements, but participants are expected to be familiar with basic techniques and attack forms and to know how to do ukemi also in faster situations.
